Making sure your pets are up to date on vaccinations is one of the most inexpensive and important ways to make sure they stay healthy! It’s also important for keeping your human family healthy as well, as some diseases are zoonotic—meaning they can be passed from animals to people.
At Animal Wellness Center, we strongly believe in both “core” vaccinations for all pets as well as “non-core” vaccines for specific illnesses related to the region where we live, your pet’s lifestyle, age, and other factors.

Differential Pricing Policy
The goal of Animal Wellness Center is to support our community through low-cost spay/neuters and low-cost vaccines. Our effort is designed to help those animals who may never receive any healthcare. In offering these services, our focus is to increase the overall wellness of the animal population. We believe that spay/neuter is an integral part of this goal and best for our patients’ health, so we offer special (differential) pricing on vaccinations to those clients with pets who are spayed or neutered.
- If your puppy or kitten is too young (under 4 months old) to be spayed or neutered, clients will be required to pay the regular prices for the initial series of shots. If the pet is altered no later than six months of age, clients will receive credit for the difference in unaltered vs altered pricing up to a $25 discount off the spay/neuter price. This discount is only available at Animal Wellness Center. If your pet is not altered (spayed or neutered) with us before the required age or before it has a litter, no discount will be offered.
- If you have an adult animal (over one year old) that you plan to have spayed or neutered, you will be offered the credit if your pet is altered within 30 days of vaccination.
- If your animal is determined to be too old or declined for spay/neuter surgery for other health reasons by our attending veterinarian, you will be charged the differential rate for vaccinations, de-worming, and microchipping.
How do we verify spay/neuter status?
Male animals are visually obvious. If a client states that a female animal has been spayed, documentation of altering will be required or we can have the veterinarian examine the animal (which may require shaving part of the abdomen). You can also opt to pay the non-differential, regular price.
